Ocean Network Express (ONE) and Seaspan Corp have established OneSea Solutions, a solutions provider focused on technical ship management and developing maritime talent
OneSea is jointly owned and operated by ONE and Seaspan, “leveraging the deep experience and best-in-class expertise of both companies”, the companies said in a statement.
Headquartered in Singapore, OneSea will offer technical shipmanagement services for container vessels owned by ONE and vessels chartered by ONE from vessel owners.
OneSea chief executive Raman Handa said, “OneSea marks the evolution of the partnership between ONE and Seaspan, as it seeks to harness the unique strengths of each company to create a high-performing enterprise in the shipmanagement space with a focus on safety, efficiency and innovation.”
ONE operates a fleet of more than 240 vessels with a capacity exceeding 1.9M TEU. Seaspan’s operating fleet consisted of 217 vessels, with 41 undelivered newbuilds including PCTCs, giving a total fleet capacity of approximately 2.3M TEU on a fully delivered basis.
