The management of the French digitalisation technology provider has teamed up with investment banks for an equity buyout to evolve its solutions for vessel decarbonisation and optimisation
Investment funds have provided capital to Opsealog’s management to acquire the share capital of the French technology company.
Impact Ocean Capital fund, which is managed by Go Capital, and Sud Mer Invest, run by Banque Populaire Group, provided finance to the management of the Marseille-headquartered digitalisation provider.
Opsealog is gaining full strategic independence after 10 years of continuous growth, with its digital solutions deployed across more than 1,000 vessels worldwide.
“We are proud to embark on this new chapter alongside Go Capital and Sud Mer Invest,” said Opsealog founder and chief executive Arnaud Dianoux.
“This moment marks a renewed commitment to combining maritime expertise and digital innovation to improve operational efficiency and accelerate decarbonisation worldwide.”
Over the last 10 years, Opsealog has helped to prevent more than 200,000 tonnes of CO2 emissions worldwide, and its digital solutions have delivered up to a 30% reduction in fuel consumption per vessel.
“This strategic transaction will allow us to scale our commercial development, enhance our solutions, and deliver even greater value to our clients – supporting the maritime industry’s transition toward more efficient and environmentally responsible operations,” said Mr Dianoux.
Opsealog intends to invest in artificial intelligence and machine learning, while extending its supporting capabilities to vessel owners across a much broader set of operational challenges.
This will include contract performance and vessel invoicing; fleet utilisation and optimisation; waste management and performance monitoring; regulatory reporting and compliance; and decarbonisation tracking at scale.
Opesealog is a partner for Riviera’s Annual Offshore Support Journal Conference, Awards & Exhibition 2026 which will be held in London on 3-4 February 2026. Use this link for more information and to register for the event.
