Dutch marine contractor Seacontractors continues to enhance fleet, adding 175-tonne bollard pull AHTS vessels in S&P transaction
Seacontractors confirmed its acquisition of two anchor handling tug supply (AHTS) vessels, 2008-built Skandi Tender and 2009-built Skandi Trader, from DOF Group. The vessels will be renamed Sea Banckert and Sea Evertsen and reflagged under the Dutch flag. The handover will be in September 2025.
Oslo-listed DOF had reported the sale of the vessels in a July exchange filing but did not reveal the new owner.
The latest acquisitions follow investments last year by Seacontractors that added a newbuild and secondhand tonnage to enhance its fleet. In 2024, the Dutch marine contractor acquired the AHTSs Sea Seraya and Sea Sentosa, both with 120-tonne bollard pull capacities.
With bollard pull capacities of up to 175 tonnes, Sea Banckert and Sea Evertsen will enhance the company’s capabilities across the fields of deepsea anchor handling, terminal towage, deepsea and coastal towage, and EPCI project assistance.
