Countdown to the ITS Awards 2025: nomination deadline nears

Nominations for the ITS Awards 2025, part of TUGTECHNOLOGY ‘25, will close on 31 January 2025 at 17:00 UK time. Don’t miss the opportunity to honour the tugboats, operators, innovators and individuals who have set the gold standard in operational excellence over the past year.

Winning an ITS Award is a coveted milestone in the tug industry, offering recognition from peers and leaders in the sector. These awards are uniquely industry-determined, making them a true reflection of significant, professional achievement. The ITS Award winners will be announced during the industry dinner, part of TUGTECHNOLOGY 2025, held on 20 May, in what promises to be a night to remember.

Award categories

• Tug of the Year Award: honours the owner, designer and builder of a tug delivered in the past 12 months that exemplifies innovation and operational efficiency.

• Tug Owner of the Year Award: recognises tug owners who have excelled in areas such as safety, technical excellence, ESG, crewing or business development.

• Innovation of the Year Award: celebrates innovative designs, projects or operations that have redefined benchmarks in the industry over the last year.
  This award category is sponsored by UZMAR.
• Lifetime Achievement Award: pays tribute to an individual who has made an extraordinary contribution to the global tug industry during their lifetime.

Nominations will determine the shortlist for the ITS Awards, followed by the start of the voting process.
