Hayfin signs long-term charter for two newbuild post-Panamax dry bulk carriers
Hayfin has signed a contract with Oshima Shipbuilding and Sumisho Marine to construct two 100,000-dwt post-Panamax dry bulk carrier ships. The vessels, once constructed, will be delivered to an international energy trader on a long-term charter.

NYK takes delivery of LNG-fuelled Capesize
Japan Marine United Corp’s Tsu Shipyard has delivered SG Ocean, an LNG dual-fuel Capesize dry bulk carrier to NYK for a long-term charter for JFE Steel Corp carrying iron ore and coal from Australia to Japan.
The vessel is fitted with a WinGD 7X62DF-2.1 iCER dual-fuel slow-speed diesel engine.
Diana Shipping announces timecharter with Ming Wah
NYSE-listed Diana Shipping has entered into a time charter contract with Ming Wah International Shipping Co Ltd for one of its Kamsarmax dry bulk vessels.
2011-built, 82,165-dwt Leonidas P C will earn a gross charter rate of US$17,000 per day, minus a 5% commission paid to third parties.
The charter is expected to commence on 21 February 2024 and is anticipated to generate approximately US$9M of gross revenue for the minimum scheduled period of the time charter.
