OSM Maritime Group is embedding digital services in its business model as it deploys new fleet management software on more than 500 ships
The technical shipmanagement group has extended a frame agreement with Tero Marine to install fleet management software TM Master across the fleet as the core of its digitalisation journey. This software enables OSM Maritime to visualise fleet operations data and provide real-time support to crews on its managed ships.
OSM Maritime chief executive Bjoern Sprotte said TM Master is combined with an analytics platform that produces further insight into vessel operations. “Full insight and transparency by sharing the same level of information between vessels, us and our customers is key to enabling data-driven decision making,” said Mr Sprotte.
“Consequently, we have been reviewing our core business processes to align them with the opportunities we see from extending our partnership with Tero Marine.”
OSM Maritime’s frame agreement with Tero Marine means that all vessels with various planned maintenance systems across the fleet would be standardised on TM Master, which is already installed on 70 vessels across OSM Maritime’s Norway- and Singapore-managed fleets.
With this deal, Tero Marine has become the preferred partner for fleet management systems, including maintenance and purchasing software.
“Together, we will continue to enhance our digital services to suit owners’ needs in the best possible way,” said Mr Sprotte. “We will continue to expand our digitalisation drive and develop new and exciting solutions.”
Artificial intelligence capabilities within TM Master will be tested to identify advanced correlations that humans would normally not be able to catch on first sight.
Tero Marine is part of the growing Seagull/Videotel group formed under the leadership of chief executive Manish Singh.
Digitalisation, artificial intelligence and fleet management will be discussed at Riviera Maritime Media’s Optimised Ship Forum, Amsterdam on 18 May 2020
