1. What platform do you use to produce the webinar?

We use ClickMeeting founded in 2011 by GetResponse, the leading email marketing platform.

 

2. Does it have advanced capabilities such as muting all presenters when they are not speaking?

Yes, the moderator can click the audio icon to Mute/Unmute an individual or All in the Audio Pane.

 

3. How do you prepare speakers for the webinar and how many practice sessions do you provide?

We organise dry-run meeting(s) to prepare for the webinar. We always have one session minimum, and plan for as many more as we feel are needed. Many clients are now familiar with this technology but we base presenter training on individual assessment to deliver the best possible audience experience. 

 

4. What is your average attendance for webinars?

We average 250 attendees for niche topics, but this increases for trending topics around fuels, regulation etc. We prefer to focus our marketing on obtaining the right audience as opposed to focussing on the numbers, lots of the wrong people are of little value to our clients.

 

5. How do you promote/attract registrants?

We reach our audience through our multiple channels to promote the webinars including online communities, eNewsletters, print and digital media, web advertising, web content, whitepapers and our extensive social media presence.

 

6. In addition to our own speaker, are you able to source other non-competitive speakers on this topic to increase the educational content for viewers?

We have extensive relations with industry bodies including class societies, institutions and ownership groups which we utilise for our event programmes. We reach out to universities and key customers for case studies. Individuals from these organisations are registered users on our websites and subscribers to our magazines.

 

7. How do you manage GDPR compliance so that you can transfer the attendee data to us after the webinar with consent or legitimate interest?

The registration process includes a permissioning statement and the webinar may not be accessed unless attendees agree to the terms as presented. Example: ‘By registering to attend this webinar for free, you agree we may share your personal data with ‘XX company’ as set out in Our Privacy Policy under “Sharing Your Data.” The webinar sponsor(s) may use your personal data for direct marketing of similar content and services via email. 8. Do we own the webinar after, can we place it on our website as our IP?

The intellectual property or IP of the webinar remains with Riviera. The webinar is made available to our community members in our Webinar Library after the event. We grant permission to our commercial partners to place the content on their own website and social media channels on request.
